Klaviyo review
The default e-commerce email and SMS platform, with deep Shopify integration and predictive analytics.
- Best-in-class native Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce integration
- Prebuilt abandoned-cart, browse-abandonment, and winback flows tuned for revenue
- Predictive analytics out of the box — CLV, churn risk, predicted next order
- Revenue attribution on every campaign and flow
- Pricing climbs steeply with list size
- Most of its strengths are wasted outside e-commerce
- SMS is a separate, message-billed product
What Klaviyo is
Klaviyo is the platform most e-commerce teams reach for, and for good reason. It treats the storefront as a first-class data source: products, orders, and browsing behavior flow in automatically from Shopify and similar platforms, which makes its segmentation and flows genuinely product-aware.
Where Klaviyo wins
The revenue flows — abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, winback — are prebuilt and well-tuned, and predictive analytics such as customer lifetime value and churn risk are included rather than gated behind enterprise tiers. If your business is selling products online, Klaviyo's product-feed personalization is hard to beat. See our Brew vs Klaviyo comparison for how it stacks up against an AI-native generator.
Tradeoffs
Pricing scales with contact count and can become a meaningful line item as your list grows, and SMS is billed separately by message. Outside e-commerce, much of Klaviyo's value — product recommendations, order-driven flows — simply doesn't apply.
